AG Systems is the company I founded to deliver custom software for businesses, with one senior owner from the first brief to production.
- Took a custom commerce platform for a U.S. client from the initial brief through product definition, engineering, launch, client training, and transfer of operational ownership.
- Built the edge-delivered storefront, the commerce backend, and the administration console, covering catalog, pricing, availability, checkout, payments, orders, refunds, shipping, and publishing.
- Delivered the AWS infrastructure as code, with deployment workflows, monitoring, alerts, and runbooks.
- Optimized the backend runtime. Pre-launch synthetic catalog-read tests confirmed that a container with half the baseline CPU and memory could handle the expected peak with headroom, so that size shipped.
- Owned client communication, architecture decisions, milestone reviews, and final acceptance.

Lead Senior Software Engineer

Nearly seven years on the systems behind Adobe Target and Adobe Journey Optimizer. I joined as a Software Engineer and was promoted twice, to Senior and then Lead Senior Software Engineer.
- Target delivery API: worked on the latest version of the content delivery API, a JVM service with strict availability and latency targets and custom load balancing. During my time there, it served more than eight billion requests per day.
- Globally distributed database: led the engineering of a reusable data service for Adobe Journey Optimizer, with replication across at least seven AWS regions and measured single-digit-millisecond local read latency at the 99.9th percentile. Designed for fast disaster recovery and cost efficiency.
- Cloud migration: helped migrate Adobe Target services and infrastructure from a proprietary data centre to AWS, coordinating work across teams and defining infrastructure as code, the Kubernetes runtime, a custom ingress controller, and delivery pipelines.
- Journey Optimizer inbound delivery: built content delivery services for Adobe Journey Optimizer within Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), collaborating across teams and departments to add a new delivery channel. Defined infrastructure on AWS and Azure and introduced Argo into the delivery process.
